Tools Needed

You’ll need a few tools for this project. First, you’ll need a Phillips head screwdriver. You’ll also need a plastic pry tool, and you’ll want a pair of tweezers or small needle nose pliers. You’ll need a clean, dry surface to work on, like an old towel or a piece of paper.

You’ll want to be careful not to get any dirt or debris inside your Kindle Fire while you’re working on it. You might also want to have a clean soft cloth ready. You can use it to clean off your Kindle Fire as you go, making sure to stay as dust-free as possible. You’ll also want a small bowl or container to put your old battery in. You’ll need this to dispose of the old battery properly.

Before You Begin

Before you begin, there are a few things you should know about replacing the battery in your Kindle Fire. First, you should know that you have a couple of options when it comes to replacing the battery in your Kindle Fire. You can either purchase a new battery for your Kindle Fire or you can purchase a new Kindle Fire complete with a new battery. While you may have to shell out a little more money for the complete Kindle Fire, you’ll also know that it’s a brand-new device and won’t have any problems.

This will save you money in the long run because you won’t have to replace the battery in your new Kindle Fire again. If you’re like most people, you’ll probably want to just replace the battery in your Kindle Fire. Replacing your battery is much cheaper, and you’ll be able to keep your old Kindle Fire. You may, however, want to think about upgrading the memory in your Kindle Fire if you’ve had it for a few years and the battery is dying.

If you do, you may want to consider replacing the battery in your Kindle Fire before you replace the chip. This way, you won’t lose any data and you’ll be able to use your Kindle Fire like new again with the added memory.

Step 1: Turn Off Your Kindle Fire

First, you’ll want to turn off your Kindle Fire. To do this, you’ll need to press the power button and select “Shut Down”. Don’t worry – you won’t lose any data. You’ll just want to make sure to turn your Kindle Fire back on again when you’re finished replacing the battery. Be sure to unplug your Kindle Fire from the charger as well; we don’t want anything shorting out while you’re working on it.

Step 2: Remove the Back Cover

Next, you’ll want to remove the back cover on your Kindle Fire. There are a couple of ways you can do this. You can use the pry tool to get underneath the back cover and gently remove it. Or you can use your fingernails to pry up a small section of the back cover and then gently work your way around the cover until it comes off. Be careful not to break any of the clips holding the back cover in place.

Step 3: Remove the Battery

Now that you’ve removed the back cover, you should be able to easily see the battery. You’ll want to remove the small screws holding the battery in place. There are four screws in all. One is next to each corner of the battery. You can remove these screws using your screwdriver. Be careful not to touch the metal part of the screwdriver; you don’t want to short out your Kindle Fire.

You can place the screws in the bowl or container with the old battery. Once you’ve removed the four screws, you can lift the old battery out of the Kindle Fire. Be careful not to touch the battery itself. The inside of the battery is very acidic. You can now place the old battery in the bowl with the screws. You’ll want to dispose of the old battery properly. If you’re not sure where to take the old battery, you can take it to a local recycling center.

Step 4: Insert the New Battery

Now that you’ve removed the old battery, you can insert the new battery. Be careful not to touch the inside of the new battery. You’ll want to use the tweezers or needle nose pliers to place the new battery in the Kindle Fire. Make sure you put the new battery in the right way; the positive and negative ends are identified on the battery. Once you’ve placed the new battery, you can replace the screws that held the old battery in place.

You likely won’t be able to replace all four screws with one hand, so you’ll need to use both hands. Be careful not to over-tighten the screws, or you could break the Kindle Fire. Once you’ve replaced the screws, you can gently place the back cover on your Kindle Fire. Be careful not to break any of the clips. Once you’ve replaced the back cover, you can plug your Kindle Fire back in and turn it on again.

Step 5: Reassemble the Kindle Fire

Now that you’ve replaced the battery, it’s time to reassemble the Kindle Fire. First, you’ll want to gently place the Kindle Fire on a clean, dry surface. Make sure the screen is facing up. Next, you’ll want to place the back cover back on your Kindle Fire. You can gently press down on the back cover to make sure it’s secure. Next, you can plug your Kindle Fire back in to charge it.

You should also go online and update your device. You can do this by clicking “Settings” and then click “Device”. You can also click “Help” if you need more information on updating your Kindle Fire. You’ll want to make sure your device is up-to-date so that you can get the most out of the battery. You’ll also want to make sure you have the latest software update so that you have the latest security patches. You can also make sure your Kindle Fire is backed up so that you don’t lose any data.

Step 6: Turn On the Kindle Fire

Once your Kindle Fire is charged and updated, you can turn it on again. You may want to do a factory reset before using it again to make sure everything is working properly. You can do this by clicking “Settings” and then selecting “Reset to Factory Defaults”. You can also click “Device” and select “Reset to Factory Defaults”.

Once you’ve reset your Kindle Fire, you can log back into your accounts and start using it again like normal. You’ve now successfully replaced the battery in your Kindle Fire! This can be a great project to do with your kids. They can learn how to replace the battery in their devices, and you can help them save money along the way.
